Dafoe's remarkable performance not only adds a new chapter to her personal achievements but also underscores the promising future of Canadian skeleton racing, particularly for female athletes.  On December 2, as the Canadian men dominated the podium with a one-two-three finish, Grace Dafoe carved her own path to glory in the women's category[1](https://chat.openai.com/c/e4a8efee-a156-4a40-a4ec-f68670fa3bb4#user-content-fn-source). In an interview, Dafoe expressed her gratitude and excitement, emphasizing the collective effort behind her achievement. "A lot of people know about the changes that have been going on with our skeleton program in recent years. This shows that change is very hard, it takes a long time, but it does come. We still have a long ways to go, a lot of work to do, but to share the podium with my teammates is awesome," she said[1](https://chat.openai.com/c/e4a8efee-a156-4a40-a4ec-f68670fa3bb4#user-content-fn-source).
