Two MILLIONS fighters go toe-to-toe in the boxing ring Friday night at a Star Boxing event at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York. Jimmy “Quiet Storm” Williams faces the undefeated Tyrone “Prettyboy” James, aka “The Jackpot” in an 8 round super welterweight bout for the ABO North American Championship.
We reached out to both fighters using the Personal Video feature and they responded with short ask me anything videos that we used to create the video above. Here are the original videos they sent us.
The fighters are showing a lot of respect to each other ahead of the bout with Williams saying, “Tyrone James undefeated, great fighter, great skills to fight, style makes fights.” James also responded with kind words saying, “he's a good fighter…he's tough, durable… he has a great background and I wish them the best…I'm not taking that away from no fighter.”
Despite the pleasantries, both boxers are planning to bring their A game and are promising to deliver an exciting fight for the fans. “It's going to be a great fight, a lot of action…and it's going to be a fight that you ain't going to want to miss,” says Williams. And James says capturing the ABO title will just be the beginning of his ascent in the sport, “after I win that we'll be back in the ring pretty soon, man, the jackpot. We'll be taking over the sport of boxing as long as I'm in the sport of boxing.”
