When Ray “The Scientist” Cuadrado steps into the boxing ring this Friday night for a bout with Saquan Felton, he plans to show the world how he earned his moniker. “The fans can expect a masterful performance by me and understand why I've been nicknamed ‘The Scientist’ as I break down my opponent, leading to a unanimous victory,” Cuadrado tells MILLIONS.
The fight is happening at the Mexican Promotions and Uprising Promotions No Retreat, No Surrender boxing event at the Amazura Concert Hall in Queens, New York. It will be Cuadrado’s third fight as a professional, and he knows it’s important to have both a good training camp and a solid game plan.
“Going into this fight I plan on making sure the fight is on my pace and timing. I know I will be the stronger guy in the ring thanks to my team at ProMet Physical Therapy, Scooter at CEA Fitness, and my sparring partners at Brotherhood Boxing Club.”
As Cuadrado carves out his boxing career, he is learning how important it is to stick to a diet. “I've been focused more on my health and nutrition than anything leading up to this fight,” says Cuadrado, who lives and trains in Ridgewood, New York. He says what you eat, drink, and how you sleep have an enormous impact on how you perform in the ring. “This focus has not only helped me stay strong physically, but mentally as well, since I am more confident in my abilities now more than ever.”
When it comes to showcasing his skills, Cuadrado can’t wait to put on a show for his fans, saying it is “important to display myself at the best of my abilities so that fans both old and new can look at me as a top contender in the Junior Lightweight/Super Featherweight division.”
Cuadrado says his commitment to his sport and his fans is reciprocated often and he thanks everyone who has shown him love and support.
“Even when they can't purchase a ticket, they purchase my merchandise that I'm constantly updating on MILLIONS. When they've bought enough of my merch, they go further by sharing my posts and stories on social media, helping me promote myself and my upcoming fights. I appreciate every single one of them for believing in me and I'm always eager to share with them all what I have in store for them next!”
