The Carolina Panthers seized the moment, turning an early game error by the Vikings into an electrifying score. During the game's initial five minutes, Vikings' seasoned quarterback, Kirk Cousins, had positioned the team for what looked like a promising score. The intent was clear – shake off the skepticism and critiques that have often surrounded him. But football, like life, can be unpredictable. A pass meant for K.J. Osborn was masterfully intercepted by Panthers' safety [Sam Franklin](https://millions.co/samuel-franklin-football). With the end zone in sight, Franklin showcased his agility and speed, evading a horde of Vikings determined to halt his advance. While Cousins made a valiant effort to thwart Franklin's charge, he was confronted and taken down by cornerback D’Shawn Jamison's formidable block. Osborn, too, couldn't get a grip on Franklin. This resulted in a breathtaking 99-yard touchdown for Franklin, marking his maiden interception in his football journey of 51 NFL games. Before this remarkable play, Franklin had recorded 73 tackles, a sack, and three passes defended. This score fortified the Panthers' lead, putting them 7-0 in the initial quarter. As both teams entered the arena winless, the Panthers showcased a defense ranking 13th in yards conceded and 25th in points allowed. Their offense, though struggling this season, stands 21st in yards achieved and 24th in points. On the other hand, despite the prowess of Cousins and Justin Jefferson, the Vikings seemed to lack the assertiveness, ranking third in yards and 15th in points without a single win to their name.
