Petr Yan, eager for redemption and a shot at reclaiming his former glory, found his plans thwarted due to injury, putting their scheduled December bout in jeopardy. Yan, often hailed as one of the top contenders in the bantamweight division, is in dire need of a victory to bolster his journey back to the title. However, fate had different plans, forcing him to withdraw from the upcoming fight. As of now, it remains uncertain whether [Song Yadong](https://millions.co/song-yadong-mma) will remain on the fight card. Sources reveal that [Song Yadong](https://millions.co/song-yadong-mma) and his management are actively engaged in discussions to salvage the situation. The Team Alpha Male standout, known as the 'Kung Fu Kid,' was gearing up for his second bout since his doctor stoppage defeat to Cory Sandhagen last September. His recent victory over Ricky Simon displayed his dominance, yet the match against former champion Petr Yan represented a significant leap in competition. At a youthful 25, [Song Yadong](https://millions.co/song-yadong-mma) is seen as a knockout prodigy with immense potential. Despite his age, he has already showcased his skills in the UFC arena, amassing an impressive record of wins. Meanwhile, Yan, at 30, is battling a streak of unfortunate judging decisions, with two losses that many believe were inaccurately scored. His determination to make a triumphant comeback after a recent loss to Merab Dvalishvili was palpable, making the injury setback all the more disheartening. For [Song Yadong](https://millions.co/song-yadong-mma), a victory against the former bantamweight champion would have been a pivotal moment in his career, propelling him into the top ranks of the 135-pound division. As the situation unfolds, fans of MMA are left eagerly awaiting updates, hopeful for a resolution that will see these two exceptional fighters clash in the octagon.
